  "As above - expectations were disappointing for such a highly rated hotel. Wonderful location. But hotel lacked warmth, comfort and attention to detail. Staff OK - but that extra mile with an extra smile could certainly make at different. Otherwise its just like staying in a Travel Lodge. Appart from the elaborate decor - quite basic service."   Spacious room with a good view of the mountain and lake

  Bathroom too small. Toilet difficult to use - too near to the handbasin making it difficult to sit down! Unable to open fridge. No nice touches. No teas made. Minimum comfort. Extra towels, pillows, cosmetics in the bathroom sparse. Only one goodnight choc left on bed. Huge hotel - but lacks attention to detail. No coffee cakes added comforts around the hotel. Pool outside and balconys not in use. Lack of staff. Felt as if we should be grateful to stay there. Staff OK but felt like another bed factory. Such a shame. Wonderful location though.
