  "I could not believe it - I was so pleased to have a clean single room in a attractive small hotel for only 25 euros a night (breakfast not included I must add)in the middle of old Palermo and right next to the famous Quatro Canti or 'Four Corners.' It is not far from some lovely shops and also no more than ten minutes walk from the train station. It was just in the right place, a stone's throw from an elegant piazza which itself is opposite the Institute of Contemporary Art and only five minutes walk from the wonderful old Norman catherdral. All in all a wonderful location. " (107783569)

  The receptionist gave most helpful information about where to eat locally at a reasonable price etc,a local map was provided and these places noted for me and I was given a hotel card to ring their number if I got lost ...! There is a modern lift-housing behind the streel-level marble stairway that comes in very handy for guests as two flights of marble stairs up to the hotel can be exhausting and I have back problems so it was a blessing.

  There are only a couple of shared shower-lavatory facilities so I think that another one would be a goood thing. Sometimes there was another person (it b eing a popular hotel) inside just when I wanted to use it!

  Excellent location. Clean and tidy.

  Bed could have been firmer.

  Internet booking system was reliable. Hotel was clean. Good central location.

  The staff did not speak English too well which made it impossible to ask additional questions about the city and its events. Major renovation was on in the building- no pre info about it. Air condition not in use. No lift- difficult to handle heavy luggage.
