The quality and location of the hotel in this old city is excellent.
The head waiter at breakfast did nothing other than to take your room number. It would have been so much better if he had provided customers with fresh tea or coffee, rather than leave them to get poor quality tea or coffee out of a machine. Otherwise the breakfast was excellent.

"I would NEVER stary there again and would tell anyone to avoid the place like the plague! Worst hotel I stayed." (108057742)
Air conditioning was broken, but no one told us when we checked in. When I realized and pointed it out to the staff, they said first there was "a little air conditioning" in the hotel. When i complained that they should have informed us of this, they then changed the story to say I must have set the thermostate wrong. A man came to my room and reset to a high temp. He said it was not the temperature but the pressure. There is nothing I hate more than being lied to, other than a lie that insults my intelligence. They should be honest. It is a four star hotel with the worst level of service.

Location. Staff.
TV remote did not work. Hot water in shower did not work. Lights in room were loose and (in my opinion) dangerous. Condition of the walls was very poor and unsightly. Carpet in poor condition. Trip hazards.

Albergo ubicato in una dimora nobiliare, sobriamente arredato. Veramente bello.
L'arredamento della stanza risente del tempo. Stanza poco confortevole, climatizzazione insufficiente.

An attractive location in an attractive town for an overnight break in our journey.
There is no overnight parking allowed in front of the hotel. Finding the way to drive from the hotel to an overnight car park was difficult, and findng the way when driving back to the hotel in the morning was even more difficult. We should have asked for a marked-up map to augmented the verbal instructions.
