    "Eigentlich brauche ich nur ein sauberes Bett, wenn ich auf Geschäftsreise bin. Dieses war sauber, aber die Matraze schien sehr alt zu sein (Durchgelegen)." (108626557)

    Das Ambiente war sehr gut und im Hotel herrschte eine angenehme Ruhe durch den parkähnlichen Garten.

    "Excellent value in a hotel with much character, in beautiful grounds. Although the website did say that a non-smoking room could not be guaranteed, because smoking is becoming less socially acceptable, this should be addressed. For those of us with allergies to smoke, this can be a problem." (97941443)

    Very large room with well appointed closets and a large, very clean ensuite bathroom.

    Although we had asked for a non-smoking room, the initial room allocated to us smelled of smoke. An alternative excellent room was provided. The check-in procedure needs some streamlining. There was inadequate supply of paper tissue in the bathroom - a small packet of 5 just does not suffice, after which we had to resort to toilet tissue.

    "The girl at the desk was condescending. The outdoor pool was dirty. The indoor pool close so early in the evening that it was not available to anyone who was there to sight see. The one rainy day we stayed in the pool was too cold to swim. We chose this hotel for it's heated pool. The restaurants were the opposite. One was closed the entire time and the other one didn't open until late, so we were not able to use them. On Saturday night the hotel started some party with a live band at 2AM which blared until around 6AM. We got no sleep. Not what we would expect from a high end hotel." (97711834)

    Location and the facility itself was beautiful. The breakfast was very good.

    The staff, The pool hours, the cleanliness of the outdoor pool, the restaurant hours and the noise.

    It was almost like an old 'colonial' style hotel, not what you would have expected in Algiciras.

    "food ok but dinner plates too small. No Tea and coffee facilities in the room Building and grounds very nice but surrounding area a bit of a dump! We would only recommend staying at the hotel and not to sight see in Algeciras" (97638722)

    the food and service and general appearance.

    The room was quite dark but clean and tidy. The bathroom and toilet had seperate doors which became a problem in a small space, both doors seemed to open the wrong way. The smoke detector on the ceiling was broken ie: didnt have a cover on it.No extractor fan in the bathroom.

    "This is our second visit to this hotel. Our room on this occasion was not as nice as the first visit but it was still clean and comfortable. The breakfast, as before, was very good. Our only concern is the exit from the hotel on to the road. It is on a blind bend that you cannot see around, a mirror on the opposite side of the road would help eliminate the danger." (97522859)

    "We found the town centre was within easy walking distance of the hotel. The staff were very obliging and spoke excellent English. The room was very clean and comfortable although personally I would have prefered an extra pillow. The breakfast was very good, lots to choose from and plenty of it. I would definately use the Reina Cristina again, in fact, I may be doing just that in the next week or so." (97244327)

    clean spacious and the hotel had loads of character

    The firt time we stayed in the this hotel we were given such a fabulous room with a tower balcony etc that the second time we visited and were offered a really good room .... it just didnt - couldnt compare ....

    "The extra cost for half board is so small 5 euros pppn that as we only wanted to eat one nigt it would have been cheaper to book HB for the 2 nights. Overall as experienced travellers we liked the hotel and would go back. Car parking was good and not an extra as is often the case in Spain. It is ideal for travelling to Ceuta, North Africa on the Ferry and 20 minutes to Gibraltar which was where we went for the day." (99600220)

    The room was spacious and as we requested a balcony room we had a 2 chairs outside. The breakfast was excellent.

    There was no fridge or mini bar.

    "The hotel is lovely, easy to find, set in quiet grounds, fantastic food, full breakfast and free soft drinks and wine with dinner, defintely recommended. The only problems were, that the indoor pool was closed due to maintenance work or the like and the 'gym', is the size of a cupboard and theres only 2 working machines, the other 2 are broken. But overall its a great hotel, excellent staff, beautifully laid out with a bar and terraces and the outdoor pool although not big looked very nice." (99856130)

    The accomodation is lovely, very clean and spacious.

    "The Hotel is set in quite outstanding mature gardens and the building is obviously well cared for. The interior of some hotels sometimes just doesn't live up to the facade...certainly not the case here, the interior is fabulously decadent and we expected Hercule Poirot to walk across the grand hall."
