  reception staff and room was lovely. very central beside railway line and absolutley no noise. adjoining rooms for kids. great beds

  "Useful for overnight stay en route from Girona airpoprt to Barcelona. Gorna itself has a beautiful ancient walled city, to the north of the modern city centre and, unfortunately, the Melia is to the south of both. Top quality hotel; 5/10 for location." (97527723)

  Predictable Melia quality of accommodation and facilities.

  Location; overnighting in Girona for access to Girona and Barcelona one really wants a hotel very close by the bus and railway station and, for taking in the sights of Girona itself, the city. The Melia is about a kilometre or so south of the southern edge of intersting bit of old city and just a bit too far out to walk. Also, while the double windows kept the noise down when they were shut, on a nice sunny day opening rhw indows exposes one to the noise of the nearby main railway line. But good quality hotel with excellent breakfast selection.

  "Great hotel for the english speaking traveller. Beautiful, spacious rooms, friendly and acconodating staff, a short walk from the old town. Excellent value if you don't mind a ten minute walk." (97443171)

  "The hotel is 15-20 minute walk from girona city centre, river onyar and the train station, so you can get to most places within a short space of time, the staff at the hotel are great, really helpful, friendly and speak good english. The Jacuzzi is locked when not in use, but just ask at reception and they will open it for you with no problems at all, overall, a lovely place to stay, it is on the commercial side of town, so views from window, not fabulous but you can see the mountains beyond the immediate view."   lovely clean hotel, a very nice place to stay.

  Being on the commercial side of town, there was nowhere to sit outside when you have got a drink from the bar, but with the position of the hotel this isn`t possible, ideal for business and leisure breaks though, no other faults at all. trips though
