  the garden in the city centre was a big attraction, as was the additional space offered by an appartment v hotel

  would not be suitable for people with mobility issues due to hills/stairs to access appartment, however for us the setting in the historic area of the city outweighed the stair climbing

  "We rally enjoyed the stay - there were 2 adults and 4 children and we had 2 apartments which worked well - we had some privacy and were able to get together at meal times. The accomodation was of good quality and space and we liked the garden as well. The information online could have been better - directions and map could have been more detailed and better photos would be appreciated." (97387196)

  "Would recommend this accommodation to all. Elaina, the manager, was a lovely person and did her best to make our stay a comfortable one. She had some great recommendations for dining and we enjoyed our stay even more with he help. A little difficult to locate if you are arriving with a car. A cab may even have trouble. But overall well worth the effort." (99968773)

  The apartment is well equipped and is very attractively decorated. A lot of thought has gone into making the client's experinece a good one. The grounds are beautiful. Would be lovely in good weather for relaxing or meeting and chatting with others.

  As we were travelling we did not get the email explaining how to get the key. The hotel might send more information with the confirmation about how to obtain the key. Perhaps asking the client to check their email on a specific day or to call the hotel ahead of time. As a traveller from Canada we were not able to access our email prior to arriving at the hotel.

  "I think there could have been a better overview of Gerona we didnt realise what a beautiful place it was. We got a taxi there because we didnt know about buses so that would have been useful information." (99463725)

  The apartment was spacious and had everything that you could need. It has a fantastic garden with a decked area which was a fantastic bonus

  I think the only downside was the steps to the bars, restaurants and shops. I was glad it was fine weather when we stayed I wouldnt have like to walk the stairs when raining as they would be very slippy. We are coming back to Gerona in August but have booked a hotel with air con as the apartment was hot even in may

  "The apartment was perfect for us - it was modern and well-fitted out, and in a superb location very close to the town. We would go again. Our only criticism is of the booking system - we think it should be much clearer that the hotel needs to be contacted (and how) to obtain a code for the keycard. It says on the active hotels website when you have made your booking that you need to contact the hotel to arrange key collection, but that's all. Otherwise everything worked well, and there were no problems. We will recommend this apartment to friends and may well go there again ourselves." (99280923)
