  "The room was clean and neat, but overall, I didn't think highly of this hotel because of the service. " (108337530)

  We arrived very early in the morning and our room was not ready. It was cold and raining and the airline lost our luggage. We sat in the coffee shop across the street for about an hour when the clerk came over to tell us he had a room ready. This was extremely nice of him, and extremely helpful to us. I must commend his care and initiative.

  There were two clerks/managers. One was unfriendly, bordering on the rude, and not helpful at all. On our 3rd day there, I asked if he had a can opener, as there was not one in our room. He said there should be one, but that he would try to find one. But he never left the desk! I know this because our room was right in front of the desk and I heard him talking to one of the female employees the entire time. My friend had went for a walk that morning and when he returned, the clerk told him to tell me that he couldn't find a can opener. So he outright lied. He was sitting at the desk the entire time chatting to the woman. I was furious and had to spend $12 USD on a can opener. Another bad thing is that the milk, juice, and towels were not replaced every other day as promised. By the 3rd day, the service became slipshod. We went almost a week before the juices were replenished and quite a few days before we got fresh towels.

  Very nice apartment in a central location for a reasonable price. Good service.

  "Stayed the weekend of a marathon and everything was booked. They e-mailed us to try and have us cancel our reservation. We were able to keep it and stay there. " (99000503)

  It was a convenient location and adequate for our needs. The room was clean and we felt safe.

  Had a difficult time checking in. The continental breakfast was cheap bread, cheese. No coffee. The person at the front desk was not professional and seemed un-interested in helping us.

  -Clean Rooms -Nice breakfast options -Good location

  -Staff came off as quite unfriendly during the check in process, and even during the day to day.

  The manager of the Boltholt was very friendly, helpful and efficient.

  "A very good place to stay, close enough to the centre to walk in to most shops, museums and the harbour." (108074106)

  Excellent staff, clean, tidy and spacious.

  Breakfast included but no tea or coffee. Washing-up liquid not provided.
