    "Seduced by the use of the words Travel Inn. It was no such thing. It is not part of a chain." (107325254)

    Reasonably close to city but exaggerated the closeness. Says it is 5 minutes when it is 15 minutes

    Very low standard of accommodation but European standards but better than a tent!

    "I am shocked by at least two things. One is that one staff there shout at us when we were asking some questions about our rooms and did not keep his promise about returning money. The other is that one half of the rooms are at basement and are in the same list as other rooms. Besides, the choices of the breakfirst are really few and the quality of bed is not so good. But this may be acceptable for a very short stay. Certainly, we found some other staff there are nice. The inn is near to the bus stop and university, although a bit far from the center."     The tourist information provided is good; it's convenient to take bus to other places

    the price is too expensive; wireless internet can't be used for most time; bedroom is underground; species of breakfast are too limited

    "Except for the quality of the bed the place was nice to stay in. At a bed and breakfast the bed and the breakfast are the essential things. The breakfast was good but the bed did not pass. If better bed I would stay here again." (107387495)

    Nice and friendly people. Good breakfast selection. Convenient access. Good parking space just outside entrance. Shower functioning very good (usually a weak point in hotels). Quiet surroundings.

    Bed sqeeking extraordinarily much. Must be replaced. Matresses of poor quality. Not good for the spine.

    Staff was friendly and facilities were in good shape.

    From the info in the web site it was not clear wether this was a guesthouse or a regular hotel. Not having the room serviced daily was also unexpected, but definitively not critical.

    200 meters away from the Domestic flight terminal. Very bad bed. Had to lay on the floor Paid way above what is decent.

    room was in basement and when anyone above us used toilet or shower we could hear it rushing thru pipes in our room

    "Iceland was extremely expensive. The rooms at Travel Inn were larger than usual for European hotels. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. We did really enjoy the staff--they were friendly, helpful and fluent in English which made it easy for us to understand." (97663180)

    Staff was very helpful and friendly. The area was quiet, but near to the central part of the city.

    "If we had known about the standard of cleanliness we would not have booked this accommodation. Compared to other hotels we stayed at in Iceland this did not reach our required standard." (97160221)

    Location excellent for visiting the city centre and parking

    The room was musty and the bathroom drains smelt disgusting, the shower had not been cleaned properly. The window blinds were torn and broken

    "The rooms were clean, relatively spacious and well kept, and the staff were knowledgable and very friendly. It is only a ten minute walk into town and 2 minutes away from the bus terminal. For the hotel's location the prices weren't bad at all (considering Rejkjavik is generally very expensive)and the place had a nice relaxed feel which suited us well. The only slight downside was that it was not obvious initially that you had to enter the hotel from the rear, but apart from that we had a good stay there." (99128454)

    Location, price, included breakfast, ease of access by car, close to long-distance bus terminal and nearby car hire facilities (although on arriving I noticed that the hotel offered its own car hire service).

    Liked the breakfast. People at the hotel were very nice, friendly and helpful. The innkeeper had lots of local colorful stories.

    Did not like the fact that they didn't change the linens. Also noise from the airport nearby.

    "Cheap (relative for Reykjavik) but basic hotel at good location next to bus station & Budget rental car. Just 10 minutes walk from downtown. Adequate breakfast. Friendly and helpful owner. Free wifi internet keeps you connected. I stayed in the good sized family room with 1 double and 2 single beds." (99846511)
