In the charming conservation village of Eaglesham, 4 miles (6.5 km) from East Kilbride and 10 miles (16 km) from Glasgow, this 18th century coaching inn offers bright, airy en suite rooms.
With a traditional bar and a restaurant offering good quality, freshly prepared food, the Eglinton Arms Hotel has retained much of its historic original charm and traditional character.
There are 35 comfortable and attractive en suite rooms, all of which have hairdryers, telephones, controllable heating and tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has a bath and/or a power shower. Many of the rooms have picturesque views of a historic local park called the Orry.
Free wireless internet access is available in the hotel’s public areas.
A full refurbishment of all the hotel’s public facilities is to take place in spring 2009.
With good, direct access to the M77 and M8 motorways, the hotel is just 30 minutes away from Glasgow International and Prestwick airports.

All children are welcome. All children under 10 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. The hotel will be undergoing a planned refurbishment programme of all public facilities during the spring of 2009. Some services may be restricted, but work should cause guests minimal disruption.
All of the rooms are situated on the first floor, with lift access. There are single, twin/double rooms and family rooms, which can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. Two of the rooms are suitable for disabled guests, wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility. These rooms have been specially adapted for wheelchair access and offer special disabled facilities.
This room can accommodate up to a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children up to the age of 10 years. Breakfast for the children is not included and is charged as taken.
The Orry Bar looks out over a local park and a historic plot of land called the Orry. The public bar is finished in dark oak wood with 8 discreetly positioned LCD and plasma flat-screen TVs for live sporting events. There is also a separate games room with 2 pool tables, a dart board, a quiz machine and an LCD flat-screen TV. Simpsons Restaurant retains the buildings historic character and offers good quality, freshly prepared food, made using good, local produce. Seasonal specialities, fresh seafood dishes and excellent traditional Scottish beef dishes are available.

By Car (from the M77 motorway): - Leave the M77 motorway at junction 5 and follow signs for Newton Mearns and Eaglesham, only 5 minutes away. By Car (from Glasgow and the M8 motorway): - From the M8 motorway, follow the signs for the M77 and Prestwick Airport.
