A meandering wooded driveway leads to a delightful oasis of calm and serenity at Northcote Manor, set in beautiful Devon countryside.
At this hotel, life is conducted at a slow, relaxing pace. It is truly a place for refreshment; a place to recharge your energy and step free from stress.
Northcote Manor is within easy reach of Exmoor, Dartmoor and the North Devon coast, which makes for excellent walking and beautiful scenery. The area has an abundance of historic buildings cared for by the National Trust, including Arlington Court, Knighthayes Court, Killerton and Castle Drogo. RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Glass Factory are close by, and you can even try your hand at glass blowing.
There is a challenging 18-hole golf course at Libbaton and outstanding fishing on the River Taw at the bottom of the driveway. A ‘ghillie’ can be arranged, along with picnics and a bottle of champagne to sip on the river bank. Richie, the head chef is more than happy to cook your 'catch of the day'.

Each of the 11 bedrooms has recently been redesigned by Pamela Viner, to allow a wonderful elegance and comfort in which to rest. All rooms are individually decorated to the highest standards to ensure a truly luxurious country house atmosphere. The bathrooms are tastefully fresh; there are good size baths and delightfully comfortable bathrobes tucked behind each door. Homemade Shortbread biscuits and delicious red apples can also be found in each room.

Dishes are freshly prepared using the finest local ingredients and served for your unhurried enjoyment. The restaurant provides a seasonal gourmet menu complete with exceptional wines specially recommended to accompany each course. The Gourmet Menu changes every 2 months so that Head Chef, Richie Herkes, can enjoy cooking with the finest local ingredients in season. Picnics and a bottle of champagne to sip on the river bank can be arranged.
