Already renowned as one of the true great fishing hotels in Scotland, the Tayside Hotel is now becoming a popular choice for walkers, shooters, golfers and sightseers who want to explore the beautiful scenery of the Highlands.
Under new ownership since May 2007, the Tayside offers warm hospitality and delicious home-cooked cuisine. It is conveniently situated close to the A9 North/South road and just 1 hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

All children are welcome. All children under 10 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. One child under 10 years is charged GBP 5.00 per night and person in an extra bed. One older child or adult is charged GBP 15.00 per night and person in an extra bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Payment Information: Payment is due when you depart the hotel. The credit card details you supply when booking will only be used by the hotel in the event of a late cancellation or non-arrival.
All of our 12 rooms are en suite with either a shower or bath. All are decorated to a high standard and offer the facilities listed in "room descriptions". Rooms are either twin, double or king-size. Our 2 family rooms can sleep up to 4 people. If booking one of these, please specify what configuration you would like the room to be set to (double and 2 single or king and 2 single or 4 singles).
This family room can accommodate up to 4 people. The room can be set up with the following layouts: - 4 single beds - 1 double bed and 2 single beds - 2 double beds. Please inform the hotel of your preferred layout on the day of booking. You can do this either by using the comments field when making your reservation, or by contacting the hotel directly. Contact details are supplied in your confirmation email. The price shown is based on 2 adults and 2 children under 10 years. Older children or other adults can be accommodated, but at standard rates. Please see the "Children and Extra Beds" section for further details and additional costs.
Edinburgh is the nearest international airport and is serviced by all major airlines and many of the low cost ones too. You can get a bus from Edinburgh Airport to Edinburgh, from where there are good bus and rail links with Perth. Travelling times can be quite long as they are not always direct. The nearest mainline rail station is Perth, with good links through to the rest of Scotland and the UK. Local buses operate frequently from and to Perth from just outside the hotel. Taxis can be arranged on request to most destinations, however as they generally have to travel from Perth, they can be costly. There are many car hire firms in Scotland and some of the major ones have offices in Perth. We are happy to help arrange car hire for you. For something a little different, we have a working arrangement with the local BMW dealer, offering everything from a Z4 to an X5 to hire. Please contact us for information.
