Lovely room, fantastic restaurant & excellent bar. Convenient for the bus stop & railway station into the city. Lovely reception rooms. Comfy bed.

Good shower but it was too hot & couldn't get it to run cool enough - almost too hot to bear.

Overall: Brilliant! Would definitely stay again.  (107465787)

The hotel is spacious and generally well cared for. The suites are generous. The restaurant staff are friendly.

Mediocre reception staff all three days/nights. Very bad performance on final day when we returned to find the hotel locked up - literally - and no one answering the phone for more than 1/2 hour. No notice on doors/windows and poor customer service from receptionist when he did show up seconds before our airport taxi arrived. The hotel is on a main road which is OK in itself but many of the windows look directly at a nightclub/disco and the windows are not sufficiently sound-proofed so expect to be kept up until at least 1a.m. at the weekend.

Overall: First impressions were good but the loud late night noise from the area and the bad experience on the final day left us feeling put out. I could not recommend the hotel to anyone without serious reservations.  (107610487)

Nice atmosphere in hotel, lovely library room. Excellent shower pressure. Hotel situated in pleasant area.

Windows in room and bathroom would not open, serious health and safety issue with regard to possible fire. Breakfast limited, no fresh fruit and too many egg dishes. Asked for quiet room, was quiet until thump of music at night, lucky I had ear plugs!

Overall: Nice hotel, very useful location in Queen's Quarter, however limited breakfast choice.  (107281942)

Really helpful staff, great food and a good location, only about 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Belfast, and lovely room.

It was a little bit noisey due to bars around it, but not too much of a problem

Central, adequate for needs and access to bus and train

Opposite a noisy club - disturbed night's sleep

Overall: Meals were good and the Metro restaurant was excellent. Staff very helpful Bathroom v small and shower leaked making floor slippery  (97206862)

Location, staff and food - the restaurant is fantastic!!

Rather small bed. The hairdryer and one of the bedside lights weren't working. We couldn't get the window closed properly and we were on the noisy side of the hotel. (Sat eve stay)

Overall: Overall this hotel was good. There were a couple of issues with our room, however the receptionist and her attitude to customer service more than compensated. We had dinner in the restaurant and were treated to a fantastic meal, where again the staff outdid themselves!  (97942033)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
