The staff in the bar were really nice, friendly, very pleasant and hard working..
Room was big and clean.
Beer garden was really beautiful and well kept.
Very out dated room
The door wasnt very secure it was dubious as to whether it was going to lock or not
One of the beds was higher at the bottom than the top
Breakfast was totally disorganised, and the staff needed to be prompted for example - there were no spoons to eat cereal only teaspoons, we had to ask for toast, then we had to ask for butter, there was no milk on the table, we had to ask for tomato sauce as there wasn't any left, the toast was burnt.. the breakfast staff were just young lads which were very pleasant but could have done with someone over looking what was going on.
Overall: We stayed at the hotel due to a wedding in the area and all other hotels in the small area fully booked. We got an excellent deal with activehotels so didn't pay full price for the room, if we had paid full price we would have been very disappointed but due to paying such a reduced price the hotel was adequate for the time we were there, the beer garden was really lovely, however the ashtrays were well overflowing.. the rooms could do with an update but were clean. pleasant comfortable and spacious room which is such a treat for a solo traveller as we often find ourselves placed in one-up from the broom cupboard!
None really; some guests a little noisy going in and out of their friends rooms and banging doors in the process but this, while irritating, is not unexpected on holiday.
