good location & good value

no soap, or staff around at 07.45 to get some - had to have shower with none using some shampoo !!

Overall: Overall okay, but the room seemed a bit musty and no soap & frayed towels in this day and age is not great  (107335240)

Nice location. Friendly. Good value.

Slow check-in. Very small bathroom.

Overall: Was visiting to go to soccer match. Almost a straight walk from hotel to Roots Hall. Was supplied with map to get to ground. This was for a car journey, but was a nice touch. Short walk to sea front.  (108256900)

Functional and reasonably clean. Drinks cooler in room. Comfortable bed.

Hotel is unrecognisable from images on website which portray a stylish top-notch guest house. Reality is that this is an average B&B. Poor quality cooked breakfast - bacon coated in fat, cold toast. Not made to feel welcome.

Overall: It did what it said - provided bed & breakfast, but did little else to commend it. There are much cheaper B&B's in Southend and for the price I expected better service and higher quality breakfast.  (108881395)
