Guest Reviews

3.4 / 5 3.4 / 5 Paul [Letchworth Garden City, GB] on 04/08/2009 (Mature couple)

Reception very efficient and friendly. Linen very clean and towels excellent

Two lights in bathroom but neither worked on arrival although one was replaced quickly. 5 male guests were shouting outside my room for about 20 minutes at 2.45 am Soundproofing of room was very poor. Shower tap broken. Pillows hard.

Overall: Served its purpose but wouldn't go back again  (107529265)

staff were very friendly

Both mattresses could do with changing both had holes in them breakfast could of been cooked fresh (fried egg hard and fried bread was cold and dripping in oil)

Overall: ideal for what we wanted to do  (108902877)

2.3 / 5 2.3 / 5 Anonymous on 24/10/2009 (Same sex couple)

The motel was relatively good value for money and the room was kept clean and tidy with fresh towels provided each day. The one evening I ate at the hotel I found the food good and value for money.

The directions to the Motel were inaccurate and it is in fact half an hours good walk from the station. There was no information available in the rooms about the facilities on offer, even times for breakfast etc. TV didn't work properly, no radio. Last night of stay there was a lot of trouble at the hotel in the early hours of the morning and this did not appear to be resolved by hotel management.

Overall: Small changes could make a lot of differenc in how this hotel is perceived.  (108778824)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
