Rooms were clean, staff polite and helpful.

rooms were quite small, with not much wardrobe space. Light switches did not work over mirror in bathroom or bedroom. Towel rail broken. Only 2 towels supplied for both shower and hand use for the two of us.

Overall: The hotel is a great spot, close to central London. Good breakfast served, the rooms were clean and staff were polite. The hotel could do with some renovation. A lift would have been an asset.  (108547531)

Receptionists helpful and friendly.

Kettle not working in first room (I stayed in one room with my wife and then switched to a single for second night), though receptionist gave me his when I went down. No batteries in TV remote. Breakfast poor, waitresses spoke little English and had no initiative, toast on first morning never arrived desipte repeated requests. Beans stone cold second morning. Rooms overheated. Nowhere secure to leave bag during second day until I could check in to single room in evening, had to put it in a public area. Only one towel each. Hydrogenated milk for tea is horrible.

Overall: I suppose you get what you pay for.  (107753383)

very clean & friendly. Made sure we had a map of London, and gave good directions & bus numbers. Very close to Paddington train station.

Went to breakfast at 08:40 & no seats available. Had to wait until after 09:00. Then everyone left & we ate our breakfast alone while the tables were cleared around us. Some music would have drowned this out a bit!

Overall: Good value for money. Excellent customer service & cleanliness. Breakfast was adequate for the price. You can leave your luggage before check in & after check out for the day.  (107299729)

Online booking and hotel location met with requirements, and general cleanliness was up to standard.

Hotel booked was Adare Hotel in Paddington. When we checked in and booking reservations were checked and confirmed we were brought to the Albro House Hotel next door and given a room there. A cash payment was asked for when checking in and no receipt given. This hotel is 2 star rated and unlike the Adare Hotel did not appear to be recently refurbished. Outside traffic noise was persistent throughout the night to the extent that sleep was almost impossible. Breakfast was also served on a badly chipped plate, surely a breeding ground for bacteria!

Reasonable breakfast, staff friendly and helpful.

Was put up in the 'attic' even though I booked a room well ahead of time and the hotel still had vacancies, therefore had to climb 5 flights of stairs and the last ones being VERY steep with only half a handrail. Shower was poor with no water pressure. It rained one day and water splashed into my room all over the bedside table from the metal overhang.

Overall: Only adequate for my visit, room very small. Did the job and I enjoyed my stay in London.  (97213878)

Why do we publish ratings from Booking.com?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Booking.com (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Booking.com or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
