Overall: I can not read the two questions above. The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. I was very grateful for the elevator as I had twisted my knee and stairs were difficult for me. It was also helpful for the luggage. The room was clean and tidy. The mattresses were a bit hard for my liking. The breakfast could be improved by simply offering a variety of the way the egg was prepared. Scrambled eggs are actually easier than fried but we were denied the option. Overall it was a pleasant stay and very convenient to Paddington Station.  (1047025)

Price was reasonable (if all the bad points below were removed!). Breakfast offered quite good value.

It was vital that we got a good nights sleep as we were attending a very long and intense seminar. Our room was closest to reception and the noise levels was appalling!! We were kept awake with noisy thorough fare of traffic in the early hours of the morning (unsure whether they were staff or guests). Also more critically, the receptionist had a tv on all night with some American Comedy with really loud canned laughter. I did not sleep a wink most of the night and felt absolutely awful the next day!!! This totally defeated the object of booking this overnight stay. Room also was not that clean!

Overall: Extremely poor due to above issues. Would not recommend!  (108713947)

Friendly staff in the hotel.

Unbelievable that the room I booked through Traveller Toolkit was not available!!! The hotel offered me a basic room for less money which was ok for me. But I would not book through Traveller Toolkit again.

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
