The jug of frsh milk offered upon arrival was a nice touch - would have been nicer if the jug had a lid and was replaced with fresh milk the next day too

too numerous to list - i will be making a formal complaint to the hotel +/- copying to the hotel group if it goes unanswered but mainly: Awful food and fairly apathetic staff (the majority of whom were 'in-training')

The refurbishment is finished and the designer rooms are comfortable and quiet albeit a little small for a 4-star hotel. Restaurant good if you like nouvelle cuisine. Liked the little pool & gym. Nice for an overnight stay for a single person but after 3 days the bad points became more annoying.

No shelves/ledges in bathroom, so toiletries have to go on the floor or be left in the main room. Not much storage space in rooms either. No stand for suitcase so you have to keep lifting it onto the bed to open it. Not ideal for a couple sharing the room for several nights. Restaurants' nouvelle cuisine is a really delicious sampler but insubstantial after a days work, preferred the 'comfort food' menu in the bar.

Overall: Good hotel, like the new designer look, good food (wish there'd been more), staff pleasent & helpful. Lack of bathroom shelf, suitcase stand and storage becomes increasingly irritating each night.  (108187458)

the reception staff were good & seemed to be handling the complaints well ! one of the staff was very helpful over car parking

we arrived quite late so didnt notice just one set of towels. we got by in the morning & expected the house keeping to notice both beds had been slept in & that we would need 2 sets. getting back to the room at 6pm & finding just one set we rang down to reception to get another set sent up. we went out & returned at 10pm-still no towels so we stole them from the housekkeping trolley that had been left in the corridor (with a bag full of dirty linen...nice if you were the rOom opposite!).the hotel was ok- a travel lodge with a gym but feel that the "executive twin" a waste of money, apparently the standard is smaller??!!. the housekeeping staff were the weakest link for sure, not acknowledging me, no "good mornings", talking to their loved ones on mobiles in the corridors, not saying thankyou when i held the door open for them etc etc.

Overall: have to come to the area 8-10 times a year to visit sick relatives & was looking for a cheapish, goodish hotel. won't be using the landmark. in the words of julia roberts in pretty woman....."BIG MISTAKE"  (108909393)

The hotel overall was very good

Bar staff (young lads)did not know what drinks to serve. We watcheed the tennis & wanted a jug of pimms after about 20 mins we actually got our drinks. also on our last night there were 2 coaches in the hotel & we could only book in for dinner at 9pm, it would have been good for somebody to let us know about booking a table, as we had eaten in the restaurant 2 nights before both at 7pm. 9pm was to late for us but if we wanted to eat that was the only time we could get in.

Immediatly moved when door into adjoing room would not close

Were not informed when booking was that the SPA was not fully operational which was disappointing, but did not spoil our weekend

Rooms , decor, food and leisure facilities were second to none. Great swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Flat screen tv, coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board in room. NO SAFE THOUGH!!!!

On arrival, the receptionist who booked us in kept answering the phone and seemed incredibly flustered and stressed. What should have taken a few minutes, turned into 15 minutes!!! Breakfast was good, although service was very slow. One had to leave one's table to find waiting staff to order coffee etc. Overall though, a hotel with potential!!

Overall: A very comfortable hotel which seems to have been recently refurbished. Spoiled only by a few uninterested staff members.  (107383847)
