Staff, food and room - were all all fantastic.

The first impression of your hotel as you drive up the 'pot holed' driveway was a bit dissappointing. The high quality things mentioned above dont deserve to be let down by the drive and the 'residential caravan' parked next to the car park. It takes a bit of the romance away.

Poor room needed refurbishing, shower had no pressure, lack of hotel info in room, room not aired, no mini bar

very large beautiful room and super bathroom with jaccusi. The view was the best.

some of the complimentary fruit was past eatable and wasn't restocked. The bedspread had a noticable stain on the underside. The roomservice cheese plate was a huge dissapointment.

Overall: overall an excellent hotel in a great position and with fabulous rooms - we did'nt dine except for breakfast as we were visiting family and eating with them. However the menu did not appeal to either of us. Roomservice sandwiches were reasonable but avoid the cheese plater.  (97621206)

Parking convenient. Check in at reception smooth. The room was spacious,warm and clean. Bathroom clean/hot water/adequate number of good size towels/robes.

Became quite hot overnight-couldn't see how to turn down radiators and windows hard to open.

Overall: The only slightly adverse comment is regarding the choice in the restaurant. We expected a high standard, which we got, however little things like vegetables/potatoes being an extra was not clear so we didn't order them.The staff were very attentive sometimes our water glasses were filled a bit too eagerly but this is difficult to criticise in the bigger picture!  (97185914)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
