Pleasant Staff, good food,

bathroom was very untidy poor workmanship and poor quality materials, most things were hanging off the wall..

Overall: fine  (108578643)

Very nice welcome and extremely good manners of ALL Staff. Cost of Room - Excellent £50 for a single Room. Very good TV in Room. Food was excellent. The Beer that I drank was also Excellent. Extremely tasteful decoration in the Public Rooms.

Room was small - however cost was good. The Wireless internet (as published) did not work in my room. It did work in the public rooms, however, one of the reasons I chose this hotel was that I could do some work in my room. The en-suite was basic - no Mirror above the wash basin and the lighting was poor in the room. The tissue box in the room was empty - either have it filled or remove it all together.

Overall: I enjoyed my stay and will definitely promote the hotel to my colleques - highlight was the lamb-curry - very tasty.  (108544218)

Friendly service. Good breakfast. Large flat screen TV with good reception. Hot water and plumbing worked impeccably.

Single room was a bit small and lacked a full shower.

Overall: Very comfortable overnight stay.  (107500644)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
