staff extremely efficient and welcoming. Food lovely. Harvey had a lovely high ceiling

Harvey could do with a repaint and a more powerful shower

very clean & very good breakfast, bed was good, service was very good, leisure facilities were very good.

not enough cupboard space, bath was too small & shower was terrible.

Overall: very nice hotel in need of modernisation  (108844817)

The room we originally booked was lovely...but sadly it was up two flights of stairs with no lift...there was no option on your site to point out my partner is disabled and struggles with stairs! To make it worse there was two false fire alarms both times she had to struggle up and down the stairs...the hotel didn't seem to care! I asked the staff if we could have a different room and they were unable to change us on the day due to being fully booked, but for our 2nd night changed us into a room which we could get to via the lift. However I was most upset to find the room didn't have a double bed but two single beds pushed together...then to make it worse the room was boiling all day and night long even though I'd left the window wide open and turned the heating off...In the end I checked out just before midnight I couldn't take it anymore and drove over 4 hrs straight to get us home. I did complain when I left but the manager was not there, and they have made no attempt to contact me to see what was wrong...all they have done is charged me £300 for the stay. Given this was meant to be a 4 star hotel I am really disappointed for me they ruined the weekend away...I won't be going there again and will make sure everyone knows the bad experience I endured there!
