room alittle cramped, noisy fan in bathroom.........

Overall: overall had a pleasurable overnight stay and would stay again one day.  (108871953)

In summary I'd say: Worth the price paid! A clean, adequte room plus a hearty breakfast in the morning. Lots of welcome communication/directions/patience from the owners on the drive up (we must have phoned half a dozen times!). Apart from that pretty average - served its purpose for our overnight stay. Pubs close(ish) - the front goes on forever!

~Small en suite bathroom in ground floor room (may be different story in other rooms). ~Decor tired in places.

Overall: One may find something a little nicer, else-where, for similar money but overall a positive experience with no complaints.  (107867629)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
