Central location; excellent breakfast; good public areas. Hotel staff coped with the booking crisis (see below) very well.
The hotel had NO RECORD of the booking I had made through ActiveHotels; had the hotel not had a room available I would have been spending my first evening in Cambridge trying to find somewhere to stay.

this is a very tired hotel.The rooms are shabby and need refurbishing.the public rooms need redecorating also.I understand this hotel is being upgraded soon,not before time. the restaurant is soulless and is not at all inviting.
