Breakfast.

As a single woman I did not feel comfortable staying in a separate room away from the main building, even if it was across a courtyard. The path down to the room from the car park round the back was very dark. I would have preferred to park the car nearer to the room.

Room 6 had a separate Lounge & Bedroom separated by a short flight of Stairs. Ideal as a small suite, if fit. Food was excellent and current staff helpful and pleasant.

No lift to bedrooms for the less physcally able.

Overall: Overall the hotel provided us with a relaxing and pleasant time with good food and comfortable rooms, both private and public.  (108412559)

Spacious room and good breakfast. Free WiFi. Friendly staff.

Overall: The Hotel were not expecting any guests, and weren't aware of my booking until they checked their fax machine, but they made every effort to accomodate me. They couldn't provide an evening meal due to a large Christmas party event, but I would normally go into town anyway, so it was no real hardship, and they were willing to arrange transport into town. As the dining room wasn't available for breakfast, I was served breakfast in my room, and it arrived at the arranged time, and was excellent. As my arrival was unexpected, I thought the staff did very well to ensure my stay was enjoyable, at a difficult time of the year for the Hotel, and the staff.  (107352794)

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
