Lovely atmosphere, in an enchanting, family run hotel. We felt as if it was a real home for the night,and we loved the dog, who completed the homely surroundings. Although we turned up late, we felt like we were very much looked after. I would definitely come again and recommend it to anyone who was in need of a hotel for the night.
Took a while to check out in the morning, as no-one was on the desk for quite a long time.

Locally-sourced food. Clean, comfortable, well-appointed and characterful room. Pleasant, helpful young staff. Fresh milk for tea kept in a fridge on the landing.
Overall: A delightful experience. A beautifully-presented small country house hotel, with pleasant and helpful young staff. We were only there overnight while attending a family event but the hotel experience could not have been bettered. (108200020)

service was very good as I arrived late and was asked if I would like some food on my arrival
It appeared to me that thier were a few trainees on when I stayed at the hotel but they tryed there best
