Very friendly hotel, staff 1st class and good food overall not bad.
Had booked a fridge in advance via internet direct with them but there was not one in the room when we arrived. asked 3 times and the receptionist went and did it herself in the end. The first room we went into was of a poor quality dirty(generally worn out) and smelt. At reception no question i was given another room but this was really small and the bathroom was really really small! The receptionist came with me and showed me a further three rooms i picked the best one which was satisfactory. Again i will say the staff were great nothing too much trouble. This room we had for 5 days. Things like shower not hooking up properly, cracked basin, no plug in basin, wardrobes that dont shut properly just general points that could be sorted out with a good makeover. New lift was nice. Have stayed there before many times and have had a good time. Once was upgraded to a suite that was really nice but at £1000.00 a week a bit expensive for just a few days in blackpool.

Good location, looked impressive on arrival, parking available, friendly, helpful staff
Room didn't meet expectations, was smaller than expected, due refurb as en suite was very tired, ventilation in room was poor, window was stuck open,couldn't be either closed or opened further.
Overall: Pleasant stay, good breakfast, but overpriced, public areas of hotel looked impressive, but room was disappointing, would stay again if cheaper, unlikely to pay full price again, as have stayed in better hotels much cheaper (108372728)

Nice large room
Dinner was bland and very poor value
Overall: Nice grand hotel to stay in but a little rough round the edges in the main communal area's now. Large rooms are nicely furnished. Avoid Dinner at all costs, it was bland and very expensive for what turned out to be a carvery. We had finished our main course by the time our wine arrived which wasn't even cold. (108954754)
