Quiet, clean and was somewhere to get our heads down for 1 night. Beautifull building and peacefull surroundings. The restaurant which is opening soon sounds a good idea!

Hotel was empty(we were the only guests) so had to go elswhere in the car for the evening.

Exceptionally well presented building, extensive grounds and views of countryside. Very warm welcome and perfectly inviting and comfortable room. In-House menu availability and choice well above average, super lounge bar with great service. Staff were professional, smart and politely friendly while being keen to be helpful without being overbearing - a real pleasure. Traditional breakfast menu choices were first class in both presentation and flavour and the bar bill was clearly very reasonably priced. Our every need was superbly catered for in absolutely stunning surroundings.

Overall: Total success, great value for money and above all left us with just one question......'just how welcomed can two strangers be felt to be made'. CANNOT WAIT TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO STAY AT THE AMBER LODGE AGAIN.  (108425738)

very helpful South African lady on reception and hard working cleaners scrubbing the outside garden furniture contributed to an excellent overall impression

all hotels need to have longer leads for kettles and... attention to detail... a bulb was out over the bed!

Amber Lodge did not have us booked in and there was noone at the hotel on our arrival. The telephone number was unansweredand I had to resort to calling the booking agency before I was able to get any attention. Because we were not expected there was no room cleaned and we went away for a couple of hours. There were no facilities at the hotel (Bar or Catering) on the day of our visit.

Overall: Both the room and the breakfast were of a very reasonable standard once the system "icked in".  (107245205)
