The setting is beautiful and the room had a great view and was nicely turned out. The evening meal was delicious and the staff very friendly. Breakfast and check out was very efficient.

The room we were allocated had around 20 flies by the window indicating that there was something wrong. When we asked for transfer to another room we were not dealt with very politely and the other room, next door to the first, also had the same problem with the flies. It was obvious that there was some issue on the grounds outside the window but the owner did not seem interested. We had to keep the windows closed and as the heating was on absolutely sweltered during the night. The walls were also extremely thin so you could hear people in the other rooms.

Overall: But for the flies which gave rise to the bad night's sleep because of the heating it would have been absolutely wonderful. The room was very nice and the setting lovely. The staff in the morning were friendly and helpful and I would like to recommend this hotel again if I was a little more reassured that they took the issue with the flies seriously.  (108679418)

Nice location, pub has nice atmosphere,

pool could have been cleaner, food very average

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
