very clean pleasant and warm

I would have like a simple hot room sevice meal in the evening. I was tired and did not want to sit in a restaurant or pub particularly as lone female traveller

Pleasant staff, service good, food adequate. Clean and comfortable. Atmospheric and with a more than adequate car park.

Much maintenance required in our room - all window catches broken, and bathroom window didn't close. Tiles slipping on roof could damage vehicles below - or worse.

Overall: An interesting hotel which seems to attribute being somewhat run down and neglected as part of the atmosphere. Worth the price on this visit, but two and a half times the price on event days (Badminton horse trials)is certainly extortionate.  (107975373)

Very friendly staff, clean and tidy hotel. The price was a big selling point and we were very pleased when we had the same rate for a further night. Breakfast was wonderful!!

We felt the room (particularly the bathroom) was in need of some renovation, there was paint flaking off the walls and it was a bit outdated.

Overall: We enjoyed our stay, so much so we stayed another night. The bar was lovely and it was nice to stay next door to a pub so we did not need to drive. Would come again if we wanted to stay in that area.  (108608718)

Carpets in hall were soaking wet and there was a damp smell the moment you entered hotel. Might have experienced a recent flood so the comments might be a bit unfair.
