Excellent reception staff. Changed our room when the room we had been allocated was up in the roof and unbearably hot even with small fan,
Romm should have been checked for the heat before our arrival and and window only opened about three inches and a totally useless fan made no difference at all.We could not have slept in the room and was grateful it was changed.Also,at the age of 64 three flights of stairs with luggage was extremely difficult. Thank heaven our 2nd room was on the 1st Floor.
Overall: Apart from the initial room problem our stay was very pleasant apart from the Bar not having any gin on a Friday evening and insisting that my daughters coke was not flat because he shook the bottle and there was a slight fizz. It took a request from her to get him to try it for his self to agree that it was flat. What happened to "the customer is always right?".

Poor ventilation (lack of air conditioning). Hotel looked tired, needed a bit of tl.

Good Bar and restaurant staff, excellent breakfast room clean and good facilities, a long walk though so may not suit more elderly guests as no lifts
Asked in advance for 1 of the 3 booked rooms to be available for the 6 of us to change in and leave our bags by 10.15am/10.30 as going to Ascot,room not available until 11.45 so over an hour and a half late leaving and stuck in traffic so late getting to ascot missed Royal procession and 1st race not the best start to the day. also limited parking and parking in car park time limited

Rooms are spacious and clean. Good value for money
Car Park quite small and was full, had to park on pay and display.The restaurant food and drink was quite expensive.
