All facilities, city centre location, budget priced

Minor problem - kettle not working (!)

Overall: An historic building with lots of good internal features. Could do, perhaps, with a subtle lightening-up, without spoiling thosed features. Area opposite station is ripe for proper re-invigoration and this hotel could become a centre point in future years. Car parking is obviously a problem, but as it is within yards of the rail and bus stations, it has other advantages.  (1082153)

quick check in, helpful efficient staff,excellently sited

room little old fashioned

Overall: the hotel was very easy to locate, has a good city centre location,rooms were nice enough, good value for money, wasn't sure if breakfast was included in the price though,check in was very simple, the evening receptionist was very helpful the rooms were as described, the overall stay was very enjoyable and i will be staying there again  (1454176)

Good Value

After sending details of credit card, a note came up saying Downloading the Verify by Visa page, but the Verification page would not download properly. After I eventually went through the Visa Verification process, it would not go back to the Hotel page, so I could not tell whether the booking had been accepted or not.

Overall: OK - but the booking process was dreadful  (108108764)

Reception and dining room staff were very neat,tidy and professional.

Both sink taps in the bathroom leaked and also, because of the design of the actual tap, were very difficult to turn off. Lack of net curtains meant that guests in adjoining rooms could look directly into the room.

Overall: The level of hotel refurbishment to the reception, bars and dining areas have yet to be seen throughout the rest of the hotel.  (107715263)
