Close to central shopping streets (two minute walk) and the customer I was visiting, nice interiors in restaurant and reception.

Breakfast (continental) was no good value for money; limited options, milk that had gone sour and unattentive staff that did not notice when buffet was running out of food. Only had breakfast in hotel one morning - went out to eat the two remaining mornings. Very tired decor in room, bad reception on teve, dirty bathroom and when showering water was apparently leaking through to the room below! Thursday and Friday evening very noisy (karaokee/clubs/pubs) in the street outside (Stirling street).

Overall: I do not consider this hotel to be good value for money. Would not stay again or recommend to others.  (107357084)

Clean, comfortable bed/bedding. Decor good in main room.

Toilet/Bathroom area poor. Shower-cubicle poor. Persistant low-level "hum" at night-time.Air-con unit? Extractor-fan?

Overall: O.K.  (107842758)

4.6 / 5 4.6 / 5 Anonymous on 08/05/2009 (Solo business traveller)

Comfortable bed, quiet location close to the rail and bus stations, excellent food and extremely helpful staff

Decor a little jaded

Overall: I would certainly stay there next time I am in Aberdeen. The location is in the seedier part of town, but there is little traffic noise and the hotel very comfortable.  (107858815)

Pleasant helpful staff, close to train station and shopping centre

The Internet access is free but a little ropey

Overall: Good value for money  (107353964)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
