booking taken for wrong nights and charged despite talking to hotel manager. Would not swap for night requested "only take bookings for 2 nights at weekend" how many hotels put this type of restriction on customers - only one that I've ever come across.

Overall: Not ever go to this hotel - no degree of flexibility only worried about their revenue. Cost me over £400 for no accommodation  (108736721)

Breakfast excellent. Lots of choice. Lots to do for all the Family.

Cafe should have been open a bit later as Restaurant menu did not really cater for fussy Teenager.

Lovely hotel and lovely staff. Visted this hotel for a wedding - the grounds were beautiful which was ideal for photographs, and there was so much space for guests to wander or mingle. A good time had by all!

Late check-in (2pm) not ideal as I was attending a wedding at 3pm. Hotel were inflexible about bringing this forward. Bedroom was very small so not entirely worth the price but facilities were fine, clean and functioning!

Overall: A lovely old hotel with all modern facilities available and an endless supply of things to see and do. Well worth a visit.  (107428519)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
