Good staff ~ helpful & polite Room very good value ~ clean ~ spacious & airy Bathroom ~ good & relatively spacious

I had an evening meal at the end of a very long day on Monday ~ I ordered steak with an extra 'paid for' side-salad which I asked should include plenty of onion. There was not one piece of onion in the salad. The steak, although it tasted OK it was virtually 'un-chewable'. I managed to eat it because I was very hungry ~ however I would change the butcher if I were you! On Sunday night I had a Cheese & Onion panini ~ again it should have been called a 'Cheese' panini as there was next to no onion in it. The mattress in room 72 is 'clapped out'. When you sit on the bed all you feel are the boards underneath. Time it was renewed. Although it is down to some of your more inconsiderate guests, the oil stains on the carpet might be removed.

Overall: OK. Disappointed with the food. Although the meal was reasonably priced there is nothing more annoying than paying good money for rubbish, if you'll pardon the expression. I think your Chef should pay more attention to detail ~ ie: just because it looks like a steak it shouldn't be full of sinew. Generally I was happy with my stay ~ but you are asking for feedback, so I am telling you. I hope you find my comments constructive. Price for one night on special deal was excellent I expected continental breakfast and received full english that was very nice

room I asked for was non smoking but got a room obviously smoked in at some point but not a major problem

Overall: at the price excellent with a nice view but why was the walks by the lake closed off with a pile of soil  (108732003)
