Room Quality Very Good. TV did not work.

Behaviour of fellow residents was appalling - Family Groups allowed Children to misbehave in Breakfast Buffet Location - Possible danger of Hot Food causing injury when unruly behaviour allowed to persist.

Overall: Good Accommodation - Stay ruined by Minless Behaviour of Fellow Guest Families whose who behaved in an ignorant way and allowed their offspring to run riot in the Public Areas of the Hotel. Why are children allowed in a Hotel Bar - A disgrace!  (108799824)

Overall: Really enjoyed it, great location for venturing into the Peaks.  (108972277)

friendly staff

resteraunt only used for breakfast, no lunches, and main meals had to be taken in the main bar area.

Overall: okay but not brilliant  (108376246)

Swimming pool was lovely and clean. Nobody in the pool when we visited so was nice and clean.

We decided not to have breakfast at your hotel when we stayed. We felt that the price was too much, espeically because I am a small eater, I wouldn't have eaten ten pounds worth of food in the morning, so therefore I would've wasted money. If i could have paid for just a couple of things e.g. 1.50 for bacon sandwich we would've had the breakfast. Didn't think we would have to pay extra to use your swimming pool, we thought it was included in the price of the room.

Overall: Enjoyed our stay for 2 nights, was easy for us as we were visting alton towers nearby.  (108664220)

Good Service, Good location, lots of parking.

Room was dated, not dirty - but not clean. Very Very Basic.

Overall: Very Basic, but nice enough. Seemed overpriced for how basic and dated it was.  (108308573)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
