Menu and food - excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean, comfortable and well appointed.

The shower in my room - the shower tray filled up with water and looked in danger of flooding (Room 6) - not sure of reason. The water went down after the shower was switched off but could flood if someone showered for a considerable time.

Overall: I really enjoyed my stay - I wish it had been for a holiday!!  (107502231)

The room was very nice with an excellent supply of tea & coffe making facilities, along with some nice additional touches. Plenty of sundries in the en-suite.

The en-suite was very small. A noisy motor ran all night, creating a vibration in the room. The menu looked very appealing, however all food has to be ordered at the bar, and when the meals arrived they were generally overcooked, dry, tepid etc etc. Breakfast was not alot better - and there were only two people taking breakfast!!

Overall: The location, style and general amenity of the hotel is very good. However, they really need to either employ a qualified chef or at least have some additional staff available - the restaurant, bar and reception were all manned by the same people, giving a distinct Faulty Towers impression.  (107961372)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
