Beautifully decorated hotel. Lovely garden. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very close to the Essex Way and Old Harwich.

The room was a little small but OK for 1 or 2 nights.

Price, Location, Service

Food seemed to favour Quantity over Quality. The mixed grill was very large and quality of meats poor Breakfast fine but Coffee was tasteless and very weak and watery. For a £5.00 continental breakfast coffee must be strong and not geniric filtered

Overall: Enjoyed stay, pity about points raised. Would stay again but eat elsewhere  (107973553)

Very clean and spacious. Food is excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would rate this a 4 star

There isn't a lift but there are only two floors and the stairs aren't steep.However you need to take this into account as we were booked onto a cruise so had heavy luggage which we had to carry up the stairs. Not a big problem for us but might be for someone in a wheelchair or older with heavy luggage

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
