Bed and bath were good. Ample car parking. Cooked breakfast for additional £1.
Friday night noise from bar/function suite was a distraction, but did stop at midnight.
Overall: Easy location to find and ideal for overnight transit stay between Central Scotland and Southern England.

Easy to book in, Hard working and Pleasant staff, good breakfast.
Reception not manned, had to ring a phone and wait for someone to arrive, Room not ready when arriving at 17:00 hours, waiting in reception.
Smell of fat throughout reception and stairs area, poor state of decor in reception toilet, and stairs to bedrooms, Staff are hard working and helpful but not enough of them.
Traffic noise early morning.
Overall: Enjoyed it overall, but not a sufficiently good enough experience to recommend it to friends and family, so if we were staying in the area again we would try somewhere else.

the room was of a good size, well decorated, comfortable bed.
we booked half board and was surprised to find that evening meal was to be taken in the tavern not the hotel restaurant. The difference in price from b & b and half board was £34 and we were told that we could choose a starter and a main course from the menu. This didn't represent good value for money as many of the main dishes were under £10. We have found in the past half board to mean 3 courses plus a coffee!! We were very disappointed as we waited 50 minutes for our starters. We complained twice about the waiting time and were told it was due to a rush in orders,it was not busy!! The meal however was very nice when it arrived but the wait did spoil it for us. (unfortunately we were not the only ones complaining that evening).
Overall: need more organisation with regards to evening meals.
