Lounge, food,friendliness/helpfulness of staff

Overall: A very pleasant stay. Car parking was easy even in the smallish car park and being in the town centre everything was close by. Would recommend the hotel to anyone  (107563246)

Room a good size and not too hot. Bath actually filled at a reasonable rate and was a good size, so a deep relaxing bath was possible. Towels a good size too. Restaurant friendly and relaxed, staff really lovely.

Bedside lights useless for reading and daughter beat me to the only pack of biscuits. Had to virtually unmake the bed to get in. Beds could be more comfortable, and same height would be useful

Overall: very friendly and helpful staff more than made up for minor irritations, and the room was clean and generally comfortable. Would stay again.  (107764498)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
