Staff were very friendly and helpful, good breakfast choice. Has a car park, and near some pretty places. Comfortable beds.

Nasty D.I.Y decor,old fittings and although the place smelled strongly of air freshener the cleaning was perfunctory, towels & sheets were very clean but areas like around door handles obviously not cleaned for quite a while, shower mouldy. Shame as nice people.

Overall: We liked the place, in spite of it's outdated decor and none too clean rooms it has a kind of homely charm! Hope the owners have the sense to clean it up a bit, take down the posters and get out some neutral paint.  (107947305)

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. It was clean and fresh towels daily.

The decor is dated. The bedside lamp was defective. No soap in the shower or hand basin. TV was terestrial only- no digital viewing.

Overall: It is a two star hotel and therefore I felt it was good value for money. It was very clean and the food was good.  (108656674)

The bed linen was clean.

There were dead coakroaches on the bathroom floor; the bath had a large crack down the outside panel and the toilet would only flush if the chain was pulled consistently eight or nine times; the window would not close properly so was left open all night. The pillows were made of foam so your head sank straight through them leaving me with a very stiff neck the following morning. At breakfast the next morning the tables were shodily laid with cutlery missing and there were no staff on hand so as we could order tea or coffee - a member of staff turned up about fifteen minutes after we had sat down, even though we were the only two people in the breakfast room. When we went to check out there was nobody on reception and there was no bell to alert a member of staff - in the end myself and my friend had to leave our room key on the desk.

Overall: Both myself and my friend were unimpressed with this hotel. We are aware that it is only a 2* and therefore were not expecting luxury, but a clean room with working facilities is not too much to ask for. At £65 for the night (twin room) this hotel is very overpriced. We would not recommend this hotel to our friends.  (108579416)
