Room was very well laid out and clean Staff were very helpful Setting and location was good

The young lady on reception for book in was very pleasant and helpful.
The evening meal was nice, however the breakfast was mediocre. Staff were pleasant.
Although we were upgraded to an executive room as my mum could not stay on upper floors. I felt that if the room we stayed in was an executive then what were the standard rooms like? There was no internal phone, bed was roughly made. It was just a standard room with tv, tea making facilities, hairdryer, well used bed, nothing special. Executive rooms usually have fridge, mini bar etc.

The food was quite nice and the veg fresh the soup was supposed to be carrot and corriander but was obviously liquified veg which was nice but not Carrot and corriander. did the half board option
The room was down a corridor and stairs where the cleaners did not seem to venture as the carpet and wall s were dirty. The wall paper was comming away from the walls and there was a damp smell to the room. there was a hole in the duvet cover and dirty marks on the carpet. There did not appear to be mant guests in the hotel and many empty rooms yet I felt that we were put in a room where they stick the workmen who want cheap lodgings for the week
Overall: Staff were friendly You could smell the toilets as soon as you walked in the building at reception and also when sat eating meal and breakfast (108969687)
The staff on reception were pleasant and polite, but with no apparant authority to have managerial 'decision' or comment to deal with any problems.
