Very good friendly service. Fascinating historic building, with many interesting features, and furnishings. Louis, the owner's dog was an absolute delight.

THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE AND CLEAN WE HAD A MEAL AT NIGHT AND BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING.

THE HOTEL DIDN'T HAVE OUR RESERVATION SO WE HAD TO STAY IN ANOTHER HOTEL ON THE FRI NIGHT WHEN WE RETURNED TO KIRKCONNEL THEY FOUND THAT THE ROOM WAS OURS SO WE HAD TO PAY ONE NIGHT

Overall: WE PREFERRED TO STAY AT THE FIRST HOTEL BUT WE WOULD RECOMMENDED THE KIRKCONNEL TO ANYBODY ELSE  (107339322)

room good,service good,food good,hotel and grounds superb,had a great time with john and the locals, breakfast great if they have it they'll make it for you

wife so relaxed she fell asleep early so i had to drink with some regulars in the hotel bar so this led to the only bad point i can think of and thats when i woke up with a very sore head.

Overall: we had a great time, superb hotel for a couple or a family.  (108353229)

easy to find off motorway

food expensive for what it was. Whenwe had dinner the hotel dog was allowed to lay at the table,whenwe moved to another table it got on to the chairs to check what was left,not very hygenic.front of house could have been a bit smarter,and not chewing all the time.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
