No late restaurant, room too hot, no bell on checkout, so I was kept waiting and has to shout for attention.

Excellent hotel with great friendly staff and enteresting nautical theme
Dinner at this hotel is a real let down. The front of house where friendly but forgot bread when requested, forgot request for water, and one evening forgot to take my order for 30 mins. The steak I had one evening was inedible and I sent it back, and I had a starter as a main course! The staff did try, but it just wasn't hanging there for a resturant of this advertised quality.
Overall: As always a good stay, it's a good hotel in a great location. The resturant for evening service does need attention. (107596780)

Liked the Cornish biscuits in the room. Good variety of breakfast food. Beds comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant on the second evening was superb, and there was no problem adding an extra guest for our dinner party.
No table available for dinner when arriving at 7.30 on first night (half expected this having read previous reviews; it was the Friday before Christmas and the hotel was catering for Christmas parties). Fortunately the Falmouth Beach Hotel next door provided an excellent meal at a reasonable price in serene surroundings. Staff at Sunday breakfast spent a long time chatting before our breakfast order was taken. Freeview TV reception poor (no ITV and even BBC1 broke up at crucial points in MAtch of the Day!).
Overall: Given that it was the Christmas party season, the level of noise was only to be expected (who goes to sleep before 1.30am anyway?). Hotel staff were pleasant and the rooms were evidently relatively recently refurbished. Vegetarian sausages and non-fried eggs need to be ordered, but came reasonably promptly and were fine. Overall a pleasant stay. Would certainly use again. (107659387)
