Beautiful hotel, and grounds. Lovely quiet swimming pool

Bedroom was very cold. At check-in we informed the staff we had to check out at 7:30 and would appreciate being able to have some breakfast at 7. We were told only continental breakfast would be available at this time. Next morning there were no staff on until 7:20 and no breakfast ready. Receptionist's initial attitude was that we must hve misinformed the staff when we checked in.

Small well presented old fashioned country house hotel, good food, good service, seemed better than the 3 stars it has

a few details in the room: plug for kettle and hairdryer other side of room, vaguely inconvenient

Overall: really liked the style and size of this small and perfectly formed hotel  (97154117)

The hotel was in a lovely setting and the room was comfortable and well proportioned. Breakfast was extremely tasty (we had the smoked salmon muffin and scrambled eggs!) It was conveniently situated for our needs.
