The room and the hotel was clean and comfortable and the shower worked well. THe welcome was warm friendly and efficient, even though the chap was English !
The breakfast was terrible, pre-cooked and inferior quality ham and eggs. The service was also poor.
Overall: I stayed at the hotel with my son for the rugby, we usually stay at the Sheraton but it has become too expensive. I thought everything was good and that we had found somewhere for repeat visits but the breakfast ! Maybe we will try it again if we can get a good discount for no breakfast and we will eat somewhere else. (99057437)

I think the breakfasts could be improved. I had porridge which was not properly cooked and twice they ran out of sausages.
Overall: I liked the hotel very much and would definitely stay there again. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff are two of my main reasons for enjoying my stay. On the first night only one of our sons was there and the room was suitable for him, but was not for two grown men. When I mentioned this to the management they gave them another room with twin beds for the second night. (3304391117)

Overall: This is really a B&B in a large house rather than a 4 star hotel. So the on-line description is a little misleading. But as a B&B, it is fine and offers reasonable value, the staff are friendly and the breakfast was good. It is about 2 miles (half an hour walk) from the main station in Edinburgh so reasonably convieniently located. It is on a main road (can't make this out on the on-line photos)so can be a little noisy. But, overall, I was happy to stay at this place. (2837539)
