The hotel staff were very helpful and tried their best under what appeared to be difficult conditions ie not enough staff on duty . the waiter in the bistro seemed to be taking orders, serving food and drinks, all on his own. he was extremely polite and friendly but couldn't cope with all this and a very slow kitchen. The food, when it came, was very good

waited hours for food to be served in the bistro, on both the fri and sat night. menu in the dining room wasn't inspiring.noise from the functions stopped at midnight but was very loud until then ( rooms near the function room not sound proofed ). Grouting in the bathroom not to the high standard I expected from a Mercure hotel.

Overall: spoilt by the time it took to serve the meals. one couple even walked out as they'd waited so long. Was this because too many functions were on at the same time or is the hotel penny pinching ? I did leave a comments sheet at reception sating these points.  (107792662)

Very enjoyable stay but our group thought the price rather high as breakfast was not included. Excellent food. Great staff

Well presented room, and well equipped. Excellent light meal in bar. Staff exceedingly helpful when available.

Staff not always available in bar - I would have bought another drink but gave up waiting. Check out very slow indeed. Only one member of staff and a very long queue. This was poor service - the poor lady checking guests out was working as fast as she could but you needed two or even three staff to service check out.

Overall: Comfortable and well presented. Good food. Gave the impression of being understaffed.  (107261022)

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
