Good breakfast kids loved Mr Fox, large room, nice pool and service was good. Great value with Camelot tickets
Room smelt very smoky and bar area a bit shabby (although workmen were actually repairing it Saturday morning)

Good to stay at if you have young children as facilities are geared to their needs. Excellent room service. Easy access to motorway and nearby towns. Rooms adequate and clean.
My son wasn't in the hotel until lateas he was visiting family. I however did stay in the room most of the time, which was quite hot so I opened the window the whole inch which was allowed, t hough little air came through the gap, I was assailed by the regular noise of the Theme Park ride, which though not very loud did tend to grind on my nerves.
I ventured down to the lounge later for an orange, only to find a somewhat rowdy party of feather clad ladies on a Hen Night having a thoroughly "last" good time. I didn't stay around too long being a grumpy old woman.
Our sleep was interupted until well after 3 am, by guests shouting loudly and the firedoor constantly opening and closing. Also by a young woman who constantly kept insisting very loudly to her equally loud friends, that she really was not drunk...which would have been funny had it not been 1:45 am.
There was constant noise of coming's and going's of her friends visiting rooms along the corridor for the next hour and a half and I finally managed to get three hours sleep, (being disabled I have to medicate at 6.00 am)
Breakfast was again loud, with lots of children scrambling for food (as children do) and harrassed parents trying to accomodate them.
..Might I suggest a seperate corridor for those guests celebrating events, so they might run up and down all night to their hearts content, and rejoice in their happiness!!
Also a quiet breakfast room where those who have given away the "T" shirt or are without bouncy offspring might retreat and each breakfast quietly.
Overall: We stayed overnight on a bed and breakfast basis. and were able to book in early which was appreciated. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, and there was a lift which we were relieved about as I am Disabled with chronic respitory problems (108286180)
Overall the hotel was excellent, from the food to the room and the bar.
The Dining staff seemed in a rush to get dinner over with, so we felt slightly hurried to finish.
Overall: Overall my stay was excellent, thank you. (108453336)
staff friendly and helpful
difficulty of booking children in on the web booking system. Spa not open on a Sunday, not much point in booking a spa hotel if unable to use the spa
Overall: was ok (107571506)
Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.
Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.
All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
