Food was excellent; although menu was much smaller than that on the website. Staff very helpful in accomodating our childrens needs. Room very comfortable.

Some of the decor and maintenance looked like it needed a bit of TLC; e.g. missing light bulbs in dining room, broken garden light on path. Not all wines available on wine list.

Friendly staff

Dining tables & place mats were kind of sticky - didnt make a good impression. Also no ventilation in the bedroom - Garden Room 3.

Well located near the A14, but in a small village, so quiet, Good food, nice room with good facilities

Overall: If you like a secluded but well positioned hotel near Newmarket, this should do for you, without it being too expensive  (108306934)

Fantastic, large room/suite. Very comfortable and very well equiped.

There were no instructions for anything. The shower was cold and barely heated up - not sure why, my partner had a lovely hot shower!! Could use Freeview or satelite tv - the picture was pretty poor on the tv.

Overall: The hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly - the bad points that I listed were minor ones in my view. I'm looking forward to staying there again and next time, I will be booking in for an evening meal too!!  (108653686)

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
