Very friendly and efficient staff, excellent food.

Shower cold until I realised that by lowering the shower head it got hotter. Then too hot. Ouch.

Staff were very helpful and flexible. I needed early breakfast on Saturday and was offered a cooked breakfast 30min earlier than the usual breakfast time without even having to ask. It realy made a difference.

Unfortunately my stay was badly affected by a funeral being held in the hotel on Friday. I did not feel I could not eat in the restaurant that night due to the continued presence of members of the funeral party into the evening using the restaurant as a bar, they 'took over' the atmosphere of the hotel and I remained 'confined' to my room for the duration off my stay. I would not have booked had I known.

Overall: Nice hotel but badly affected by not separating a function from the other hotel guests.  (108476077)

Staff were, without exception, excellent (reception, housekeeping and the bar.) Room was ready within half an hour when we checked in around 1.30 pm. Good water pressure in shower. Tea, coffee & biscuits in the room. Very nice cooked breakfast - poached egg was perfect. The bar was light, modern, clean and inviting.

The latest check-in time of any hotel I've ever stayed at. A very small room that with over-powering decor - much too busy for size of the room. Everything creaked - the floor, the walls, every movement resulted in creaks. Walls too thin so could hear everything from above and nearby. Window either opened completely or was shut, nothing in between. Stains in the toilet bowl. Decor in bathroom very dated.

Overall: Hotel was our second-choice and we were disappointed not to be able to stay at the Ramada with the rest of our group. Room price seemed very high for a 3-star, although it was a busy bank holiday weekend.  (107761127)
