Beautiful period house, superb location, very pleasant staff, nice meals Extremely quiet, esp at night

Bed very small - website indicated king size but must have been a boy-king - proprietor said Victorian brass bed was specified but we've not found where. Internet access was flaky during our stay.

Overall: An unusual and very pleasant country hotel with pleasant, helpful staff  (108789655)

excellent surroundings, quality hotel, friendly staff

wardrobe in bedroom was of poor quality and wasnt in keeping with the excellent quality in the remainder of the room.

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
